We experienced a very informative and enjoyable walking tour of Bridgetown today with Karen.
She was great! Friendly and full of interesting facts, and welcomed any questions we may have had.
We happened to time our walk with several downpours of rain, but this didn't detract from the excellent time we had.
Due to covid, masks were worn throughout (except the very end when we took a photo). Karen was conscientious and entertaining the whole time - thank you!...Show all

Our tour guide Karen was very informative. We learn't a lot about the history of Bridgetown and Barbados. We have visited Bridgetown before but having someone to tell us about the buildings and history was so much better than just wandering around on our own. The only slight criticism would be giving directions to the meeting point. It would be better to direct people to the cruise terminal rather than the port as that is what is shown on the maps given out by hotels. We spent quite a long time trying to find out where we should be. Luckily we were rescued by a very helpful taxi driver who got us to where we needed to be.

"Walking tours are our preferred way of seeing new places. On this occasion we had the guide Karen to ourselves. Unfortunately the Parliament Museum was closed for the holidays, so we were only able to view it from the outside. We did go into the Exchange Museum where Karen arranged for us to have a private tour with one of the museum's curators."

I have always been interested in my rich history and culture, but never took the time to tour the UNESCO City of Bridgetown, while I had been to Bridgetown many time before, this was my first time taking a tour, with a very knowledgeable tour guide, giving me lots of insights that I never knew about.
