Information Updates Regarding COVID-19 Coronavirus



We at Ruthann Discovery Tours are excited to welcome back visitors to Barbados. Our experiences are currently available for reservations and operating. We added some new exciting experiences and Gift Cards. Looking forward to seeing you.

Health and Safety Protocols

The well-being of our tour guides and customers is a top priority and we are monitoring the developing Coronavirus/COVID-19 closely in Barbados. Travelers are required to wear a protective mask and participants are required to observed social distancing during the tour. 



For Walking Tours: Our Tour Guides will be wearing a mask throughout the duration of the tour and wearing gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures,(noncontact thermometer) opening/closing doors, and providing sanitizer to the travelers. 



Shore Excursion: Before leaving for the tour our Tour Guide and Driver will ensure that all surfaces in the vehicle are properly sanitized and wiped down. Prior to any travelers entering the vehicle at their pickup location, our Tour Guide will use a non-contact thermometer to ensure that anyone with a fever does not enter the vehicle. 



If a traveler has a fever we will issue a full refund. During the Shore excursion, our Tour Guide and the Driver will be the only persons to open and close the doors of the vehicle. At each stop when travelers exit the vehicle our Driver will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle. Upon getting back into the vehicle our Tour Guide will provide hand sanitizer for each traveler. 



Ruthann Discovery Tours will limit the number of guests on our tours to 6 people. We will constantly monitor updates from the WHO, CDC, and the Barbados Government updates to continue to offer our tours in the safest possible surroundings of Barbados

Barbados has once again updated its travel protocols. The updated protocols indicate the  risk categories for the countries selected.

The update came into effect on August 05, 2020.

The government of Barbados will officially reopen its borders to international travel on July 12th 2020. As we welcome you back to our beautiful island there are a number of precautions and safeguards being implemented to protect, both locals and visitors while on island. Stay safe in your country, in your home, and practice good personal hygiene. We all have to play our part to flatten the curve and we can vouch that you all are dedicatedly playing your part already. 

We hope to host you all with full enthusiasm post-COVID-19 when things would be better and curfew would be over, till then we expect you all to spend this time with your loved ones while being at home, wash your hands for 20 secs and maintain 6ft distance with other people. Avoid going out unless it is really important and pray for a better future.
